Abstraction may always be one of the truest forms of expressing oneself in art. Kandinsky linked abstraction with finding a communion with the spiritual world. Many link it with inner feelings, inner thoughts that can not be put into words, a” rejection of rationalized thought”(Worringer). In most cases Abstract art provokes some sort of feeling for the viewer, weather it be sorrow, joy, pain, happiness, or more often then not just absurd thoughts on what the hell is suppose to be going on.
Abstract art to me is closely related to sex. Its not just the performance or the action of painting that you wish to be successful it is also the end result. If abstraction is approached in to safe of a manner, or should we say if you approach it with a condom on, no matter how hard you work, no matter how amazing the performance no matter how much chemistry exist between the artist and the canvas the end result will just be a messy condom. However if approached with thoughts of the life of the painting after the performance it must be taking on its rawest form, with nothing separating the innermost workings of the artists mind and spirit and the canvas.
